MARCUS LAUTERBACH - Director of photography
Born in Jena, moved to Berlin in his beginning twenties, first gaining experience working on professional sets as an assistant in camera-, grip- and lighting departments. As a trainee with the equipment rental service “FGV-Schmidle”, he continued specializing his skills in lighting. This had helped to strengthen his abilities in working as DoP on his own projects ever since.
In 2020, he graduated from the film university in Potsdam-Babelsberg in cinematography. In this context, he realized several documentary projects - analogue as well as digital.
Marcus is a passionate team player and always eager to capture “real” moments with his lens – regardless of whether on a big commercial set or with a small documentary in the Tibetan mountains. He aims to create immersive images from a variety of perspectives while always making sure they are in line with the story that is to be told.
